Welcome to Bohemia Society of the Arts and Sciences!

We are looking for members whose insight, opinions, knowledge and talent will help us form the legacy of an amazing, awe-inspiring community.  As a newly born membership society, Bohemia offers you the opportunity to be some of the first to hold committees, create special interest groups and to meet and collaborate with some of Central Florida's leading art and science organizations, professionals and enthusiasts. All members will be able to freely contribute to ideas on events, special projects, trips and fundraisers.

Highlights from our first fundraiser - November 10, 2006

Bohemia launched its first event ever, entitled “Grow With Us”. The Veranda was kind enough to offer the venue, which was decorated lavishly with flowers donated from Statue of Design, candlelight atop tables dressed in red linens and a stage that glistened with ambient lighting. Several friends of Bohemia volunteered time and energies to assist with the evening’s festivities and many locals in the Orlando community donated services and food, as well as items such as jewelry, quilts, artwork and more for the silent auction and raffle. DJ Spank, preferred DJ at the Peacock Room, helped to host the event along with a local acoustic/folk rock/afro-beat band called The Forefathers. Voci Dance helped to enhance and complete the Bohemian night with a mesmerizing live performance. Olympia Restaurant donated two belly dancers, which also helped the night to come alive with color, culture and excitement. Local artist, Kameron Sullivan, provided Bohemia with “Art in Motion”, beginning his painting at the beginning of the event and completing it just before the silent auction. Alexander Supertramp, another popular local artist who has had artwork exhibited at the Peacock Room, donated a painting for the silent auction as well. Other hosts, sponsors and partners of the event included Orlando Museum of Art, Orlando Science Center, Orlando Improv, Orlando Opera, URS Corporation, Kennedy Space Center, Cesar Vargas Photography, Plain Jane Automobile, Publix Colonialtown, Publicis Meetings USA, Statue of Design, Oviedo Chili’s and Hue Catering.  Click here to see photos!
